Thymalin is a polypeptide complex extracted from calf-thymus tissue and developed as part of the Khavinson school of bioregulator research; unlike the single-sequence Khavinson tetrapeptides, Thymalin is a fractionated extract rather than a defined sequence. It has been studied in Russian and Eastern-European clinical and preclinical work for immune restoration, T-cell function in ageing, and infection-related immune parameters, alongside the related Khavinson dipeptide Vilon (KE) and the cortical peptide Cortagen. Sold by research-peptide vendors at 5–20 mg vial sizes for laboratory work; not approved by FDA, MHRA, Health Canada, or TGA for human use.
